Itinerary
Day 1:
Transfer from Marrakech - Pickup 9am
Ouirgane, Tinzert, and Imi oughlad
We begin our four-day trek in the green valley of Ouirgane, hiking up to the village of Tinzert then continuing to Tagadert Ait Ali on the other side of the mountains in Imlil Valley. We stay in a local homestay for the night.
Day 2:
Imi oughlad-Tizi el Bour-Imska-Oussertek Valley-Tinoughar-Tidli-Agadir
We leave Tagadert Ait Ali and travel north through the Imlil Valley to Tizi el Bour. We then descend to the Imenane Valley and have lunch by the river in Imska. We ascend through rocky paths and juniper trees to the Berber villages of Tinoughar, Tidli, and finally to Agadir spend the night in a family-run gite.
Day 3:
Agadir-Gliz-Tizi n'Taratine-Amsakrou-Tinerhourhine
The views down the valley from this location are spectacular, with terraced fields of barley and corn, fruit trees and vegetables, and every accessible part of the mountainsides cultivated to feed this remote group of villages. The rich earth contrasts with the lush greens and mountains in the background. We continue our journey up to the village of Gliz and then over the Tizi n'Taratine 2200m pass. We trek down to the Imenane Valley and the village of Tinerhourhine for the night's
accommodation.
Day 4:
Tinerhourhine, Tizi n'Tamatert, and Imlil
The 300-meter climb to Tizi n'Tamatert pass is slow, but the views are worth it. Descend through the trees and stop for lunch in a shady spot before making the final descent to Imlil.
