Climb to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and the whole of North Africa.
This trek will give you an extra day compared with the standard 2 day summit climb which will allow you further time to adjust to the altitude and more time to explore the other sights of the Atlas mountains before reaching the summit of Mount Toubkal for sunrise on Day 3 of your trip.

No technical climbing skills required but must be in good physical health
Itinerary

Day 1:
Transfer from Marrakech to Imlil- Pickup 8am
Trek through the Berber village of AIkkiss (1,700m), before reaching Tizi n agersioual pass (2200m) for lunch, continue to Tizi n Tamter pass (2779m)
Approx 6 hours of walking
Overnight Imlil
Day 2:
Walk to Sidi Chamharouch (2350m), a village with a Muslim shrine attracting tourists and pilgrims. After lunch here we will continue to Toubkal Refuge (3206m)

Day 3:
Trek Toubkal Refuge to Toubkal Summit (4165m) - In the early morning after breakfast we will climb to the summit of Mount Toukbal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. When you reach the summit you will see unrestricted views in every direction, from Marrakech to the Sahara.
Toubkal Summit to Imlil - We will retrace our steps and return down the mountain to head back towards Imlil stopping for lunch en route.

Transfer from Imlil to Marrakech - Dropoff 5pm
