Given the height of the Atlas Mountains there is potential for altitude sickness depending on the individual although we cannot predict an individuals chance of suffering and to what degree.
The guide will fully manage the climb to reduce chances of developing altitude sickness.
If a concern we would recommend avoiding a trek which includes climbing to the summit of Mount Toubkal and enjoying the mid Atlas Mountains with the likes of the following trek itineraries;
Atlas Mountains 2 Passes
Atlas Mountains Imnan Valley
Our other 1 day treks (Day Trip and Family Day Trip) also have a low risk of altitude sickness as focus on the lower Atlas Mountains.
To reduce the risk of altitude sickness with a summit climb we would recommend the 3 day climb to the summit over the 2 day climb to the summit to give you more time to adjust to the altitude.
