Tour Plan
Marrakech –Imi Oughlad –Tizi n'tachte –Tiziane
The journey begins with a transfer from Marrakech to Imi Oughlad, a small mountain village that serves as the starting point of the trek. From here, the walk gradually climbs through juniper-covered hills and traditional Berber hamlets toward the pass of Tizi n’Tachte. Along the way, trekkers enjoy wide views over the surrounding valleys and mountains. After crossing the pass, the trail descends to the peaceful village of Tiziane, where mud-built houses cling to the hillside above terraced fields. This first day offers a gentle introduction to the region, combining scenic walking with the discovery of rural Berber life.
Tiziane – Tizi n'taghrhourte – D'knt
The second day is a beautiful and varied stage, leading from Tiziane up to the mountain pass of Tizi n’Taghrhourte. The climb is steady and rewarding, with magnificent views of deep valleys and distant peaks. The route passes orchards, grazing land, and isolated settlements, giving trekkers a real sense of the remoteness and beauty of the High Atlas. After the pass, the trail continues down to the village of D’knt, a charming place surrounded by walnut trees and cultivated terraces. The village is known for its tranquil atmosphere and traditional way of life, making it a perfect stop for the night.
D'knt – Tizi n'tagdalte – Tizi oussem
On the third day, the trek continues through another stunning section of the Atlas Mountains. Leaving D’knt, the path climbs toward Tizi n’Tagdalte, crossing rugged mountain terrain with spectacular views in every direction. This stage is especially enjoyable for those who appreciate inspiring scenery and quiet mountain trails. From the pass, the route descends into the valley of Tizi Oussem, one of the most attractive villages in the region. Surrounded by red cliffs, green terraces, and fruit trees, Tizi Oussem is a wonderful place to rest and experience authentic mountain hospitality. The contrast between rocky peaks and fertile valley floors makes this day particularly memorable.
Tizi oussem - Tizi M'zzik -Imlil
The final day begins with a walk from Tizi Oussem up to the pass of Tizi M’zzik, one of the most scenic viewpoints of the trek. From the top, trekkers are rewarded with panoramic views over the Imlil Valley, nearby Berber villages, and the surrounding High Atlas peaks. The descent to Imlil marks the end of the adventure. Imlil is a lively mountain village and a well-known base for Atlas trekking. Reaching it after four days on foot brings a strong sense of achievement, as the journey has crossed four different valleys, several mountain passes, and some of the most beautiful landscapes in Morocco.
