4 Days Mount Toubkal Trek from Marrakech | Slower Pace + Better Acclimatization

You will be picked up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech and transferred directly to Imlil (1,740m), the starting point of your trek. The journey takes around 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, you will settle into a guesthouse where you will spend the night.

After breakfast, you will begin your trek, following the Mizane Valley. The trail passes through the village of Aremd and continues to the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. From there, you head east, crossing flood plains and following mule tracks that climb into the high rocky cliffs above the valley. After crossing the river, you arrive at the pastoral shrine of Sidi Chamarouch, a place visited by both pilgrims and trekkers. The path then ascends steadily in a series of zigzags towards the snowline and the refuge at 3,206m. You will spend the night in a tent near the refuge. Early in the morning, you will begin your ascent to the summit of Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. The route climbs the south cirque, crossing the stream above the refuge. Although the trail is relatively straightforward, the scree and altitude can make some sections challenging. Along the way, you will enjoy spectacular views, and from the summit, the panorama is truly unforgettable, stretching from the Marrakesh Plain and the High Atlas to the Anti-Atlas and even the Sahara in the far south. After taking in the views, you will descend by the same route, continue down towards Imlil, and then transfer back to Marrakech. You will spend the night in a riad in Marrakech. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure home.
